The National Archaeological Museum of Naples reopens to the public on June 2 with the rearrangement of the Halls of Frescoes and from Friday 12 June the exhibition “The Etruscans and the MANN” will be opened. Until 31 December significantly reduced the ticket price: full fare 8 euro (two adults over 25 12 euro; reduced 4; from 18 ai 25 not completed 2 euro).
«Our beauty and our identity during the lockdown have in any case traveled, albeit virtually, around the world and with emotion we are now preparing to reopen on the symbolic date of June 2, with an absolute enjoyment proposal security, with discounted entrances and a richer offer the “Mann starts over again” “says the director Paolo Giulierini, who will personally welcome visitors. To communicate with the public and inform about the news of the summer, the first claim of the digital communication campaign will be precisely “MANN starts over from you”.
And security is the key word for the restart: to visit the MANN, reservations will be required, to be made, starting from 29 May, through the websites www.museoarcheologiconapoli.it and www.coopculture.it . The visitor can choose, in a specific time period of reference, from three itineraries to discover the Museum : the Class Path c or (Farnese Collection, Mosaics and Secret Cabinet, Objects of daily life collection in the Vesuvian cities, Temple of Isis and Sale degli Affreschi); the New Collections (Egyptian and Epigraphic Section, Magna Grecia, Prehistory and Protohistory); the Temporary Exhibitions (“The Etruscans and the MANN”, scheduled for the next 12 June; “Thalassa, wonders submerged by the Mediterranean”, extended until 21 June; “Lascaux 3.0”, open until July 2; “Understanding climate change” , on the calendar until 31 August). Subject to availability of seats in the chosen time, the visitor will also be able to add all the museum tour options.

The organizational procedures will ensure public safety: the ticket will be exclusively digital ; at the entrance of the Museum, a thermal camera will allow the detection of body temperature, indicating as the limit threshold for the entrance i 37. 5 ° C; inside the building, it will be essential to wear personal protective equipment; in the visit itinerary, information panels and indicators for spacing will be set up; in some places of the rooms, there are dispensers with disinfectant gel.
OpenMANN subscription: card holders must book each access to the Museum; from June 2, for those who activate an OpenMANN offer, the annual passes will only be sold online and available in electronic format. The adult option will cost 10 euro, the Young cards (18 – 25 years) and Academy (for students of any course of degree and graduate school, no age limit) 5 euro, the Family card (two adults over 25) 16 EUR.

News of the reopening the possibility of benefiting from the restyling of the Sale degli Affreschi . Three frescoes from Herculaneum were selected from the deposits, to be exhibited in the room 68, and, specifically, two with architectural elevations and another with the myth Fedra and Ippolito. For the room 78, six “portraits” were chosen, with faces of young people and women, as well as the busts of Hercules and Heracles and Onfale.
